Conforming to Edward's wishes, Harold departs to the coast with entourage where he will board a boat that will ferry him to William in Normandy. Unfortunately, the voyage was not straight forward. He was blown ashore prematurely in a storm and is captured by Guy of Ponthieu. Note the popularity of moustaches around this time. |
